Water Renovations IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, &
IX
In the last 10 years Gibson-Thomas Engineering
Co., Inc. has applied for and obtained $5.9 million doll ars through FmHA
(RUS), Pennvest, and Community Development Block Grants on behalf
of the Indiana County Municipal Services Authority.
The resulting projects have extended 200,000 lf of lines throughout
portions of Indiana County, constructed three (3) new water tanks and
three (3) new pumping stations. These
projects service more than 1200 new customers for the Authority.
Gibson-Thomas Engineering Co., Inc. has also designed and managed
the rehabilitation of major portions of the Indiana County Municipal
Services Authority's existing system. The recommended rehabilitation has helped lower the
Authority's unaccounted for water loss from 40% to less than 15%
system-wide. Gibson-Thomas
Engineering Co., Inc. is presently developing a new 700,000 gpd treatment
plant and source of supply for the western part of the county, capable of
serving approximately 1750 customers.
